🔁 Engine Exchange & £300 Surcharge Policy

Certain engines supplied by Approved Engines Ltd are sold on an exchange basis and require a refundable £300 surcharge.

What Is the £300 Surcharge?

The £300 surcharge is a refundable deposit added to your engine price. It ensures the return of your old engine (the “core unit”).

 

 

Please Select One of the Following:

 

✅ I have already sent my old engine

If we have already received your old engine in acceptable condition, no surcharge is payable.

 

 

🔄 I will return my old engine

A £300 surcharge is payable at purchase.

This will be fully refunded once:

 

• We receive your old engine
• It is complete
• It is in re-machinable condition (see below)

 

 

 

 

❌ I have no engine to exchange

The £300 surcharge is payable and non-refundable, as no exchange unit is being supplied.

 

 

 

🔧 Core Return Condition Requirements

To qualify for a surcharge refund, the returned engine must:

 

• Be complete (block and cylinder head where applicable)

• Be in re-machinable condition

• Have no holes in the engine block

• Have no cracked cylinder heads

• Have no damage to cam journals / bearing journals rendering the head unrepairable

• Not be seized beyond economic repair due to catastrophic failure

 

Engines that are:

 

• Thrown rods through the block
• Windowed blocks
• Severely overheated causing structural distortion
• Previously stripped beyond usability

…will not qualify for surcharge refund.

 

 

🚚 Important Notes

• Collection / delivery charges are not included in engine price

• Collection of old unit is chargeable unless agreed otherwise

• The surcharge refund is processed once inspection is complete

• Inspection is final and at the discretion of Approved Engines Ltd
